This scene was given to me with no scrip and just a bullet point list of what they needed from the scene. I brainstormed many jokes, wrote the script for the scene, and boarded the following. The final version of the scene slightly changed however the dialog was kept and it was completely written by me back in 2019.

I got a chance to do a dramatic scene for an indie film back in 2019. The team reached out looking for a dramatic scene that was very abstract and emotional.

How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming

During my time as a trainee, I got the opportunity to work on the How to Train Your Dragon Christmas special. I wanted the meeting with toothless and Zephyr to reflect both Hiccup and Valka's first encounter with their dragons. Putting emphasis on the eyes. Using Zephyr leaving behind her dagger to visually represent her letting go of her aggression to dragons.
